Adjustment To Deauville Select Dates

Yearlings waiting to be shown at Arqana August last year | Zuzanna Lupa

After announcing on Wednesday that its Deauville Select Sale would be moved forward a little more than two weeks to accommodate the UK government's quarantine requirement for visitors from France, Arqana made another minor adjustment to those dates on Thursday. The sale will now be staged on Sept. 9 to 11 to avoid a clash with the Tattersalls Ascot yearling sale.

“With so many constraints coming into play and such a restricted time period to stage all American and European yearling sales, it is virtually impossible to please everyone and sales clashes are almost inevitable,” said Arqana Chief Executive Officer Eric Hoyeau. “However, Arqana and Tattersalls have agreed that cooperation is paramount amid the current crisis and that we should do our utmost to make attendance at our sales compatible for vendors and buyers alike.”
